So if baw baw gives free lift tickets to seniors, what are they meant to do with the other disadvantaged groups that travel there. For eg The hearing impared, blind, handicaped, etc etc. Is baw baw meant to tell them that they dont get tickets for free yet people that are fit enough to ski do. To me it sounds as though they are treating everyone as equals!!!!! And if the rest of the world followed their example, perhaps we wouldnt have so much war and conflict.

From
One who wishes to support the mountain that is almost half the price of the other resorts and is also the cheapest to travel 2 from melbourne!!

maybe the other resorts can afford to give away more to over 70's? Baw Baw is marginal 1 in 3 years so who pays?

Hi All The change in cost to the 70 Year old Skiiers at Mount Baw Baw

I am a member of a Ski Club on Baw Baw with 44 years put into the promotion of Baw Baw.

I am annoyed that the cost of tickets for the Ski tows at Mount Baw Baw for 70 Year old

Skiiers have gone from FREE to $39.00 per Day.

??? Can We Do Something about this ???

The prices at the following resorts are -:

Mt Buller FREE

Falls Creek FREE

MT Hotham FREE

Ps I have talked to about 7 people over last week and MOST will NOT be coming back to Baw Baw ,

which includes their families, if this keeps up Baw Baw wont exist ????

tried the new south face road and was impressed. eventually if it gets sealed will be awesome. really good deep cover over whole mountain, the snow actually felt dry under the skis, and as usual, real friendly laid back atmosphere.its one of the best snow condition days I can remember recently at baw baw

16th & 17th - Wonderful snow. Fresh surface both mornings, complete cover. The only downside was poor visibility for much of the weekend.

Get up there and make the most of the cheap lift tix and GREAT conditions! :) Be careful on the road though - plenty of cars off the road over the weekend.

went up on monday the 11th of august i board. it was insane snow. nice fresh powder everywhere.. early in the morning there was light snow falls and became heavier by lunch time.. the rail park was in peaking form with a wall ride and some of the longest rails ive seen at bawbaw, it was awsum. at about 1 oclock me and my mate wen down old hut run which wasnt to bad.. just a bit chopped up.. we found a ledge that we cood get some air off so we did that for a couple of hours. near the jump was a tree and on my 4 shot of the jump i ran into the tree and bruised my lower back. i was out for the rest of the day which was a bummer.. baw baw is in excellent form the best i have ever seen it since i started going there wen i was 6. the lift tickets were cheap. didnt have to line up on the lifts. jsut freaking awsum.. cant wait to go to buller on the 23rd. its becomming an awsum snow season

Really good value for money. Snow is light and dry everywhere. Pick of the day was everywhere. Some of the less busy runs had boot deep powder all day. A complete, deep cover. There is barely anyone around so get up there.

Sunday 27th - One of my nicest mornings ever at Mt Baw Baw! ~5cm fresh on top of a firm base, and a bluebird morning. Nearly all of yesterday's rocks were now covered in the morning though they did raise their heads again as the day progressed. Caution required at the bottom of home trail. Snow was fairly slow and a little sticky (note to self - wax the skis) in the a.m. but sped up as it packed down with traffic. Snow stayed dry all day. Lovely!

Saturday 26th - Mostly complete cover except for Maltese run which had it's "usual culprits" poking through.

Great skiing, bit solid early but not really icy. Softened a little through the day but never sloppy. Pick of the day was Champagne - very nice! The Rail Jam was a great success and the Saturday night fireworks were a treat :)
