Selwyn is the best it has been for a couple of years. There is a really good cover. It was a little 'hard packed' (icy) in places to start but was dry and fast. There were even a couple of little pockets of fresh from the dusting the night before!

Dropped in for day at Selwyn yesterday, great cover and resort really uncrowded. Snow is fantastic at moment. Cover complete and dry on all runs, ski anywhere no problems.

Just returned from a week at Selwyn. Snowfields were in excellent condition. Cold nights allowed for good snowmaking, and Sunday onward snow has profided dry powder on top of the firm base. Weekend "crowd" was not bad at all, with 11:30am lessons being the most popular and causing slight congestion on the New Chum Lift. Wait times on T-Bars and Poma's were minimal, and slopes uncrowded (especially Long Arm, and Kangaroo Ridge, where you pretty much have the hill to yourself). Very family orientated, and good for beginners.

I just came back from a weekend skiing at Selwyn. The crowds over the weekend were fine- not there really at all especially early in the morning! They really need snow as the cover is getting thin and patchy- especially today as it was raining sleeting most of the day-trying hard to snow.Township and Racecourse are OKish- just!
