Whatever it is that you need from your holiday in Hakuba, we are here to help you get exactly what you want. Yes we have some of the most extreme mountains in Japan with plenty of snow every season but we understand that is not actually what everyone want's from their snow holiday.
At the White Horse Hotel we can cater for everyones requirements. If it is deep powder snow and amazing terrain then we will go out of our way to make sure you get the best conditions available throughout the region. If you are a complete beginner we will assist you in organising lessons and rental equipment and put you onto gentle easy slopes with the best ski instuctors in the village. Everyone in between is well looked after with experienced advice on all of the 9 resorts in the valley.
My wife and I love eating out and can recommend and make reservations to our favourite restaurants in the valley. If you want a lazy night in then we also have a great bar and restaurant so you don't even have to leave the comfort of the hotel.
All the rooms are traditional style with western comforts. There is a toilet and vanity room in all of the guest rooms and we also have onsen style baths filled with the purest of mountain mineral water that can be booked privately for you to enjoy alone or with your family. For groups or larger families we have the "White Room" which is our premium deluxe 2 bedroom suite.
A hearty breakfast is included in the price along with Hakuba transfers and our ski mate program that ensures you get the most out of your holiday in Japan.

The season runs from as soon as there is enough snow through to Golden Week in early May. Early season discounts apply before Christmas and we have special deals from the 1st of March.
If you are looking for lots of fresh snow during your stay then we recommend mid January through to mid February.
If you are wanting more sunny days amongst the snowy then March is recommended. There will be over 3 meters of snow base and it is the locals favourite time to get out and take advantage of generally stable backcountry terrain. The parks are also at their biggest and best if you want to work on that aspect of your sport.
April is for fine weather sking and a great time to learn as a beginner or as an experienced skier or boarder to improve your technique. It is an excellent time to enjoy the cherry blossums in the region too.
We are open year round so come and enjoy the summer time here in the mountains with some amazing hiking and a huge range of outdoor activities.
