Seven Network's The Amazing Race Australia has announced its next leg on Canadian soil: Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada.
After wrapping up episode 9 in Vancouver, British Columbia, new challenges and drama await in the Western Canadian province of Alberta.
Promotions for the Alberta episode shared glimpses of a Rocky Mountain winter wonderland with dogsledding adventures, powder skiing, ice climbing and breathtaking landscapes.
All challenges will be revealed when episode 10 of The Amazing Race Australia airs on Seven, after the 2012 Olympics on Monday, August 13.
"Australia is a key tourism market for our province, so the opportunity to showcase our made-in-Alberta adventures to more than a million viewers is very exciting," said Christine Cusanelli, Minister of Alberta Tourism, Parks, and Recreation.
To support the launch of Alberta's new tourism brand, Travel Alberta recently released a video entitled Remember to Breathe which has seen over 1.3 million views on YouTube. The video entices travellers with breathtaking scenery and adventures in Alberta.
"We are thrilled to be running scenes from Remember to Breathe as TV commercials during Episode 10 screening of The AmazingRace Australia," said Cusanelli. "Alberta's new tourism brand is a powerful expression of what makes this province such a unique and attractive destination, both for visitors and for residents. It is the promise we make to our visitors."
The Amazing Race Australia filmed in Alberta, Canada, in a joint venture between the Seven Network, Canadian Tourism Commission and Travel Alberta. Catch all the action of the final Canadian episode on Seven, after the Olympics coverage on Monday, August 13.
