Enjoy your winter ski holiday in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.  Wongungarra is a multi-level lodge with spectacular panoramic views across the High Plains, with all the amenities for a relaxed and comfortable stay.

Best of all, our location is second to none.  Wongungarra is one of the most accessible and centrally located lodges in the Davenport Village.  Our lodge is a minutes walk from the Village Snow Bus and short-term car parking where you can unload your luggage.  There are no hills to climb getting in and out of the lodge. 

We are opposite Jack Frost which houses a restaurant, bar, ski hire outlets and ticket office.  The Kids Snowzone ski school and day care at the Big D ski run is one bus stop away or a 5 minute walk, as are the supermarket, bar and restaurant at The General.

Intermediate and advanced skiers can ski directly to the main ski runs via Frosty Drop and the Davenport trail which are adjacent to the Village Snow Bus stop and close to Wongungarra.  Otherwise skiers of all levels can take the Village Snow Bus directly to Hotham Central to access the main ski runs.

Staying at the Ski Club

The lodge provides comfortable accommodation for 47 guests in bedrooms sleeping from 4 to 6 people.  The lodge has a “no room share” policy for groups of 2 or more guests.  Consequently a group or family of 2 or more will have their room to themselves.

The lodge is run along communal living lines with common recreation, cooking and eating areas and shared bathroom facilities.

The lodge is fully carpeted and centrally heated.  It has a well-appointed kitchen with two commercial ovens, ideal for self-catering, and large living and dinning areas.  It has a large and efficient drying room, which has hanging space for clothing, racks for boots and pegs for gloves, hats and other items.  Your wet gear will dry out completely by the morning.

Laundry facilities, including a dryer, are available.  Wireless broadband web access is also available.
