Kalyna Ski Club

Kalyna Ski Club is a spacious, comfortable member lodge welcoming guests all year round.
 
Situated 50m off the Great Alpine Road, Mt. Hotham, Kalyna Lodge is well positioned for skiing, socialising, or simply enjoying the alpine environment. Kalyna offers 16 ensuite bedrooms accommodating 4, 6 or 8 people. Pillows and doonas supplied, BYO linen/towels.
 
Lounge, Dining, TV, and Games rooms ensure space to relax. Kalyna is self-cater, with a large, fully equipped kitchen. Three cooktops and a grill, two double ovens and ample bench space ensure no queues come meal time.
 
Kalyna offers a great range of facilities that see guests returning year after year. We welcome families with children and the lodge is also popular with social and community groups. Kalyna is smoke free and our resident lodge managers are there to assist with your stay.
 
Bedrooms
 
The lodge has a mix of shared and private bedrooms. Guests can secure a bedroom for private use upon paying the appropriate rate, and meeting minimum occupancy requirements. Each bedroom contains beds, doonas, blankets and pillows, and has its own ensuite. Linen (including bath towels) is BYO, or can be hired (see Tariffs for details). Cots and child safety rails are available if required.
 
Check-in time is after 2pm on the day of your arrival, and checkout before 10am on your day of departure. Space is available to store your luggage, so you dont miss out on skiing. Late departure can be negotiated with the lodge manager, and is subject to the room being available.
 
It is requested that guests vacuum their bedroom and leave the bedroom and ensuite in a tidy state upon departure. If time is pressing, or if the snow is particularly inviting, guests can arrange with the Lodge Manager to clean the room (see Tariffs for details).
 
All space, other than the bedrooms in the lodge is communal.
 
Kitchen
 
Being self-catered, the kitchen is sufficiently large and equipped to meet most culinary needs. Three cooktops, a BBQ hotplate, and four ovens are available. The kitchen also includes microwaves, toasters, sandwich press, and a blender. All cooking and dining utensils are supplied. Boiling water, for tea and coffee (supplied) is on tap. Each bedroom has allocated cupboard and refrigerator space. Freezer space is communal.
 
Food and beverages (other than tea and coffee) are BYO. The General supermarket has limited supplies for emergencies and replacements.
 
Dining and Lounge Rooms

Complimentary wireless internet access is available throughout the lodge, though it is requested that laptops are not used in the dining room during meal times.
 
Both the Lounge and Dining rooms have access to the front balcony.
 
TV Room
 
At the front entrance to the lodge, the TV room seats 12, and has an Austar connection, and DVD player with surround sound available for use by the guests. In the TV room, there is also a selection of books to read.
 
Games Room
 
The Games Room, in the basement of the lodge, is equipped with TV, cd/dvd players, pool table, table tennis, & foosball. Equipment can be hired for a small fee.
 
Ski Locker, Drying Room and Workshop
 
Kalyna is equipped with a ski and board storage area, and large drying room. A workshop is available for ski tuning and minor repairs.
 
Laundry
 
A laundry, with commercial washer and dryer is available for use by guests. Laundry powder is supplied.
