About The Pole House

The Pole House is at the foot of Mt Buller and is only 2 minutes from the Mount Buller gates and 20 minutes from the ski resort.

It can accommodate (12) people - The Pole House provides you and your family with the opportunity to experience ambience in a delightful bush land setting just minutes from the snow fields.

Facilities

It has five levels reaching high into the sky, four balconies and has a turret - with comfortable chairs and table - where you can read, watch the clouds go by or have a quiet moment.

There is an outdoor table with 12 captain chairs and a Gas four burner BBQ (with apron) on main balcony.

This is a non smoking house. Smoking is allowed on any of the 4 balconies.

The lounge is heated by a gas log fired heater, you use the remote to turn on and adjust. There is 4 couches, with a large TV & DVD.

The lounge and rumpus room are both heated with electric heaters. All bedrooms have electric heaters and electric blankets. Each lounge has TV/DVD's. Radio/CD player is also available. Portable fans are stored in drying room.

The Pole House has a fully operational stainless steel Kitchen equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwater, microwave, toaster, jug, all cutlery, crockery, pots plastic ware etc. - salt & pepper.

The drying room is also available and is heated. The laundry has a washing machine and dryer - bring your own powder.

There is two bathrooms - 2 toilets, 2 showers, 1 bath.

Bedrooms

The bedroom configuration is:

• Bed 1. - Queen size
• Bed 2. - Queen size & 2 bunks
• Bed 3. - Double bed & 1 single bunk
• Bed 4. - Double bed
• Bed 5. - 4 X single bunks

The beds all have pillows and doonas with spare doonas in linen cupboard. You have to supply your own pillow slips, sheets & towels. All beds have electric blankets.

The bedrooms are all a good size and have built in shelves/robes with side tables with lamps.

How to get there?

Go through Mansfield and proceed along the Mansfield to Mt. Buller Road, passing through Merrijig - and approx 25 km from Mansfield you will see a sign Warrambat Road Sawmill Settlement - turn right and follow road along for 100 metres, turn right at Christensen Street, follow street till the end 150 metres to Mill Crt - Pole house is first house on the left. Mobile phones work as well.
